Biographical Notes
His Royal Highness Prince Carlo of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Head of the Royal House, was born in Saint Raphaël, France, on 24 February 1963, to His Royal Highness Prince Ferdinando of Bourbon Two Sicilies, XVII Duke of Castro, and Her Royal Highness Princess Chantal of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duchess of Castro (née de Chevron Villette).
He completed his studies at the Marist Fathers Institute in Toulon and at Collège Stanislas in Nice; he subsequently studied at the Université Internationale Libre in Paris. He gained professional experience as head of a major public relations firm in New York. Upon his return to Europe, he worked at executive level with several major Italian industries and companies.
On 31 October 1998, he married Her Royal Highness Princess Camilla of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duchess of Castro. The marriage produced two daughters: H.R.H. Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duchess of Calabria and Duchess of Palermo (23 June 2003) and H.R.H. Princess Maria Chiara of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duchess of Noto and Duchess of Capri (1 January 2005). The Royal Family lives between Rome, the Principality of Monaco, and Paris.
Prince Carlo of Bourbon speaks Italian, French, and English. He is Grand Master of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George, through which he promotes and coordinates the charitable, welfare, and cultural activities of this ancient chivalric Order.
